PCMS in the community
PCMS are passionate about improving the quality of life for employees and their families as well as the local community.
PCMS support a number of charities by hosting regular fundraising activities across the business. The causes we support are chosen and nominated by our people; meaning that all charities have at some point touched the lives of our employees or their families. Recent company-wide activities include the Jeans for Genes Day, Macmillan Coffee Morning and Red Nose Day. At a departmental level, PCMS employees also get involved in activities such as Race for Life, The Wolf Run and sponsored football matches to raise additional funds for a number of charities.
In the local area
In our immediate vicinity, PCMS are an active member of the Westwood Business Park Community User Group playing a key part in decisions and developments that impact on the local area. PCMS act as one of the Midlands call centres taking donations on the evening of Red Nose Day. Our employees, customers, suppliers and friends volunteer to answer donation calls between 7pm and midnight. This is an honour for PCMS and this event is supported by our clients, with many of our employees’ children coming along to act as food runners keeping our volunteers topped up with food and drink to keep energy levels high.
We are passionate about helping young people build a career within business and IT. By working with local training providers, our apprenticeship programmes provides school leavers with an opportunity to gain real exposure and experience in the workplace whilst gaining valuable industry knowledge and qualifications. Through our high quality mentoring and support, our apprentices learn new skills and go on to secure permanent positions within a variety of roles across the business. PCMS also work with local universities to offer opportunities to both undergraduates and graduates through our placements and graduate scheme. By supporting learning in the early stages of someone’s career, we aim to create future talent and PCMS leaders of the future. In addition, we host a @graduatehour every Thursday on Twitter, which offers tips, advice and support on graduate recruitment as well giving the opportunity for students to connect with graduate recruiters and employers.
